Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as a colonic is the cleansing of the large intestine. It's a safe and effective way to maintain colon health. Colon hydrotherapy helps to cleanse the colon of unwanted fecal and toxins. During the process, warm filtered water is used to soak and remove waste that adheres to the walls of the entire large intestines. A disposable speculum is inserted into the rectum. Water flows in the colon via a small water tube and out through a different tube called a waste tube which carries the impacted feces, mucous, and toxins. You will see the expelled waste matter when it passes through a special viewing window and there is virtually no odor. We use state-of-the-art closed system equipment approved by the FDA. The number of treatments varies with each individual and depends on your degree of health.
Your first appointment will take about an hour. The colonic itself will take 30 to 40 minutes and each visit thereafter will take about an hour. Most clients experience a sense of lightness, less bloating and healthier feeling. Although most participants feel high levels of energy, some however may experience fatigue due to the toxins being stirred up. This is normal and will pass, usually within the same day.
Benefits of Colon Therapy
Colon therapy is a very relaxing treatment. It is both pleasant and effective. Although most people feel relief after their first treatment, it takes a series of at least three treatments to begin cleaning and restoring the colon. This depends on the state of health and the condition of the colon in each individual
It has a cleansing, antiseptic, and solvent action on the intestines, whereby putrefactive material, impacted fecal matter, excessive mucous and even pus, and infected tissue are removed from the colon. This leaves a clean, healthier colon.
Colon therapy has an anathematic action, which means parasites are removed. Example: tapeworms, pinworms, etc. Colon therapy also increases the water level and diuretic action. The water is resulting in greater bathing of the individual cells; this dilutes toxins and flushes them out, relieves uremia and toxemia, increases the elimination through the kidneys and skin as well as the bowels. This generally assists the cardiovascular and circulatory systems to be more effective.
Hot and cold water may be used interchangeably in the course of the treatment. The hot water is used to bathe the colon and to supply heat to the body, which serves as a stimulant for shock and collapse. The cleansing action along with the heat is applied physiologically. Anytime there is hyper pyrexia or fever, the introduction of cold water will aid in reducing it. Cold water can also be used to destroy parasites.
Many people are overweight. Anywhere between 5 and 40 pounds of waste material, accumulate within the walls of the colon. Proper colon therapy aids greatly in eliminating unwanted and unsightly excess pounds, as well as that dull, irritable feeling that is so prevalent with such a burdened colon.
Internal cleansing due to colon therapy also increases circulation, which increases perspiration. Due to the removal of toxic wastes, skin becomes strong and healthy; people look years younger.
Colon therapy can also help to increase the emptying and draining of an irritated liver and gallbladder, due to the releases of exerted pressure caused by impacted fecal matter.
Common symptoms of a congested colon:
-Fatigue -Memory Loss
-Gas Flatulence -Neuritis
-Headaches -Swelling of legs
-Poor Appetite -Menstrual Problems
-Skin Problems -Bad Breath
-Insomnia -Anxiety for Food
-Craving of food -Overweight
- Protruding Abdomen
-Loss of Concentration
-Cold hands and feet
Do I need Colonics?
Is stress a factor in your life? As a child or an adult, have you ever regularly eaten fried foods or foods which were highly processed or contained white flour, white sugar, chemicals, red meat, salt or alcohol? Have you ever smoked, taken prescription drugs or used other street drugs such as marijuana, or lived in an area with high smog concentration for a period of time? Rare is the person who can answer “No” to all of these questions. Unnatural stress and unnatural substances can play havoc with the sensitive colon. Anyone that answered yes to any of these questions would greatly benefit from colonics.
How many colonics do I need?
Everyone is different, but the vast majority of our patients start off with a series of three to six colonics. Then from there do maintenance as needed. It takes multiple colonics to cleanse the five and a half feet of the large intestine. Depending on how many daily bowel movements you have as well as how much you release with your first colonic, your therapists will then recommend the amount you should have. In order to properly rebuild and rejuvenate the bowel and detoxify the body (to be followed of course by a healthy diet and proper living habits).
What should I do after a colonic?
Although a colonic will wash out old toxic matter, it will also wash out friendly bacteria if there are any. To help replace the normal colon bacteria, we will give you a drink called Emergency, or a capsule called Acidophilus. Rest after your colonic! It is time for allowing your energy to go into the internal healing of your system and not for outer activity. It is best not to eat for a few hours before your colonic (or eat very light, easy to digest foods such as fruits or salads). Drink plenty of fluids before and after your colonic.
Laxatives vs. Colon Hydrotherapy
Laxatives act as chemical irritants and staminate the muscular wall of the colon, to abnormally contract to expel the irritating substances. It is very easy to become dependent upon these substances and permanently destroy the ability of the colon to eliminate naturally. Laxatives also interfere with important digestive process occurring in the stomach and small intestine which results in electrolyte depletion and dehydration. Colon hydrotherapy exercises and tones the colon for optimal peristalsis, the wavelike motion of alternating contractions and dilations that move matter through the colon.
Colon Hydrotherapy vs. Enemas
Both the standard enema and colon hydrotherapy use water to flush the large intestine (the colon). An enema is a one-way injection of water into the colon, which is retained then evacuated by the patient. Colon Hydrotherapy is an instrument/controlled intestinal bathing of the colon for cleaning and therapeutic purposes. The patient is not involved in the evacuation process. There is no unpleasant odor or health risk to the personal in contact with the patient. The enemas cleansing ability is limited to water retention in the descending colon, which is about 1/3 of the entire colon. Retention time much shorter due to the body’s natural tendency to expel the rectal contents. Colon Hydrotherapy cleanse the colon without the need for retention offering greater therapeutic benefits.
Modern Colon Hydrotherapy equipment is manufactured through compliance with strict FDA guidelines that dictate rigorous accountability. The FDA-registered equipment ensures the safety and comfort of the treatment, including: Temperature-controlled water, Backflow prevention valves, Pressure and temperature sensors, Built in chemical sanitizing unit, Sterile disposable single use rectal tubes and speculums.
Colon Cancer Prevention
Colon cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the United States. Colon cancer appears more frequently in women, rectal cancer appears more frequently in men. Periodic cleansing would minimize the exposure of the colon walls to potential carcinogens. The colon hydrotherapy procedure would cleanse and dilute the concentration of toxin load in the large intestine (colon), Resulting in a reduced burden on the liver and lymphatic system. This then allows the eliminative organs of the body (skin, lymphatic, lungs, kidneys, bowels). To equalize the removal of such toxins within their production rate. When a break down in one or more of these systems occurs and toxins abound, the potential for disease exists. Colon hydrotherapy helps to restore eternal balance (homeostasis) and improve the overall health of the individual by supporting the various eliminative organs and rejuvenating the immune system.

Parasites are large or small worms that travel through your blood stream and infect any organ, gland or part of the body. They enter through the mouth/skin. The fish tapeworm can grow up to 33 feet in length or more. Parasites are known to eat and excrete wastes, food, human tissue, protein coating on our nerves and calcium off our bones. They can get into the liver, lungs and the brain. We get parasites from our food, water and from our pets. Recent medical studies estimate that 85%-95% of North Americans have at least one or more types of parasites in their bodies. Experts claim that we have more parasitic infections than some third world countries. Africa has fewer parasite problems than we do.
The eggs of parasites are microscopic and are the real danger. They can be passed sexually, as well as thorough the shaking of hands, walking barefoot, eating or drinking from someone else’s glass, bottle, can, fork etc. Parasites can also be contracted simply by swimming in polluted lakes, rivers and streams or even going to the beach. Parasites release toxic wastes that are actually their feces and urine. Parasites urine is practically pure ammonia. Parasites waste can affect the kidneys, liver and immune system.
